Are you an experienced workshop leader looking for an opportunity to take ownership of a busy operation while remaining hands-on? We are seeking a Workshop Foreman/Leading Hand to oversee the day-to-day running of a well-established workshop in Singleton.
Leading a small team of approximately 6-10 employees, you'll play a key role in driving safety, productivity, quality, and workshop performance while working closely with an experienced Leading Hand for support.

- Lead and coordinate workshop personnel and daily activities
- Allocate work to maximise productivity and efficiency
- Support and develop team members while maintaining accountability
- Plan daily workloads and resource allocation
- Monitor production progress
- Coordinate order preparation and dispatch activities
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures, PPE requirements, and equipment standards
- Identify, address, and escalate safety concerns as required
- Ensure all work meets drawings, specifications, and customer requirements
- Minimise rework through strong quality control practices
- Maintain workshop cleanliness, organisation, and housekeeping standards
- Coordinate maintenance and repairs of workshop equipment
- Work closely with operations and procurement teams to manage workflow demands
- Previous experience leading teams within a workshop, manufacturing, fabrication, or trade-based environment
- Strong understanding of workshop operations and production processes
- Excellent organisational and planning skills
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Willingness to remain hands-on and support workshop activities when required
