Sales Consultant / Representative

Recruit Personnel are assisting a well-established, family-owned business who works with cafés, restaurants, bakeries, takeaway stores, clubs/pubs, schools, hotels and other small food businesses, supplying packaging, paper goods, catering consumables, chemicals and equipment.

This role would suit an individual who is looking to change their career focus such as a Chef or hospitality professional who is ready to step away from shift work and into something more stable, or an experienced salesperson who has worked in hospitality or food service or a similar industry.
  • Salary Range $65K - $80K + Superannuation based on experience
  • Company Car - provided
  • Tools of Trade & Training - provided
You will be looking after existing customers, building relationships and helping grow the business by bringing in new accounts. A big part of the role is understanding how small hospitality businesses operate and being able to offer practical, sensible solutions — not a hard sell.

We are looking for someone who:
  • Enjoys dealing with people and building long-term relationships
  • Understands the hospitality environment (from either sales or hands-on experience)
  • Is organised, reliable and comfortable working autonomously
  • Has a genuine interest in helping customers run their businesses better
Sales experience is an advantage, but it’s not essential if you bring strong hospitality experience and the right attitude. Essentially you will offer:
  • Confident computer skills across Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to speak with a range of stakeholders
  • Confidence in your ability to work with a customer through the entire sales process
  • A current Driver License
  • A willingness to learn the product range and confidence to become an expert in same
