Reporting to senior leadership, the Company Accountant will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, ensuring compliance, and supporting business growth through sound financial management. Key responsibilities include:
- Financial Reporting & Analysis – Prepare financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
- Budgeting & Forecasting – Develop and manage annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Cash Flow & Funding Management – Monitor daily cash flow, oversee funding structures, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Regulatory Compliance – Ensure timely preparation and lodgement of taxation, payroll, superannuation, and statutory obligations.
- Corporate Governance & Risk Management – Oversee financial controls, policies, and risk management strategies.
- Stakeholder Engagement – Collaborate with internal teams, liaise with external advisors, and manage banking relationships.
- Financial Systems & Process Improvement – Maintain and enhance financial reporting systems, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
The successful candidate will possess:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CA/CPA preferred).
- Extensive experience in corporate, financial, or management accounting.
- A strong understanding of business performance analysis, solvency, and cash flow management.
- Proficiency in financial software and reporting systems.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in corporate governance, compliance, and financial risk management.
- Industry experience in agriculture, equine, or related sectors (highly regarded but not essential).
